TV: 48 HOURS: “’48 Hours’ Presents: Temptation in Texas”

What it is: A newsmagazine show generally focusing on crime stories. In this episode, a Texas woman named Michele Williams (no, not that one) is suspected of murdering her wealthy husband and trying to make it look like either a suicide or home invasion.

If last week’s Dateline episode teetered on the edge of queasy exploitation, this episode of 48 Hours (not sure why they needed to put “’48 Hours’ Presents” in the title) shows no such restraint. “[This case] had murder,” one interview subject says, “it had sex, contradictions… It had a little bit of everything.” Correspondent Peter Van Sant calls the story “a twisted tale” with “soap opera written all over it.” Wipe the drool off your mouths, guys.

You've got to be kidding me
